The Committee on Legal Services is the legislative oversight committee for the Office of Legislative Legal Services and oversees the review of executive branch agency rules among other legislative duties.

The commission oversees a study and makes recommendations regarding the potential historical and ongoing effects of slavery and subsequent systemic racism on Black Coloradans which may be attributed to the practices, systems, and policies of the state.

The American Indian Affairs Interim Study committee will not be meeting during the 2025 interim.

The committee addresses issues significant to American Indian communities, including physical and behavioral health matters, judicial issues, human services policy, and access to the outdoors and natural resources.

The oversight committee maintains and updates Colorado jail standards, reviews reports from the Jail Standards Advisory Committee, and recommends legislation on jail standards and operations.

The committee is responsible for overseeing the Behavioral Health Disorders in the Criminal Justice System Task Force and recommending bills to implement the proposals studied by the task force.

The task force examines issues related to artificial intelligence and must report recommendations to the Joint Technology Committee and the Governor's Office by February 1, 2025.

The Commission on Property Tax was created to study and make recommendations for a property tax structure that protects property owners and residential tenants from rising property taxes while meeting the needs of governments that rely on property tax to pay for local services. The commission repeals on July 1, 2025.
