During the 2025 legislative session, the General Assembly considered several bills concerning the military and veterans, including service providers, the military code, and assistance programs.

During the 2024 legislative session, the General Assembly considered several bills concerning the military and veterans, including veterans’ programs, education, occupational licensing, land use, and a new holiday. 

The 2023 Colorado General Assembly considered a range of military and veterans bills related to active service, veteran programs, and property taxes.

During the 2022 legislative session, the General Assembly considered several pieces of legislation concerning veterans and the military including creating an information clearinghouse; allowing veterans to audit college courses, honoring Gold Star families, and several resolutions. 

During the 2020 legislative session, the General Assembly considered several measures related to military and veterans affairs, including bills addressing the National Guard, providing veterans’ benefits, and clarifying laws concerning surplus military vehicles.

During the 2019 legislative session, the General Assembly considered measures related to veterans and the military concerning education, employment, income taxes, license plates, vehicle registration, and public safety.

During the 2018 legislative session, the General Assembly considered measures related to military and veterans, including their education, employment, and involvement in the criminal justice system.  Other legislation addressed veterans' benefits and federal issues concerning Colorado.

During the 2017 legislative session, the General Assembly considered measures related to military and veterans boards and commissions, the treatment of veterans and members of the military in the criminal justice and higher education systems, and state benefits for veterans. The General Assembly also considered legislation to encourage cooperation between the state and the military and to advocate for certain federal military policies. Other issues relevant to veterans and members of the military were also considered.
