During the 2025 legislative session, the Colorado General Assembly considered several measures related to taxes, finance, and the state budget. Also, the General Assembly considered several bills during the 2025 extraordinary session related to matters of taxes and the state budget.

During the 2024 legislative session, the General Assembly passed several bills related to finance, the state budget, and taxes.

During the 2024 legislative session, the General Assembly passed several business‑related measures including regulatory changes, consumer protections, and economic development.

During the 2022 legislative session, the General Assembly passed several laws related to the regulation of the business of insurance in the state, as well as laws related to workers’ compensation claims and commercial regulation.

During the 2021 legislative session, the General Assembly considered measures to permit business to impose credit card surcharges, clarify when banks must use an appraiser to determine property value, and require businesses to accept cash for payment.

During the 2020 legislative session, the General Assembly passed several bills related to the regulation of banks and financial service entities and expanded the authority of the Attorney General to challenge mergers and acquisitions in certain circumstances.  In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the General Assembly also passed legislation prohibiting price gouging.

During the 2019 legislative session, the General Assembly considered a number of measures related to estate documents, public guardians, and trusts.  

The General Assembly considered, but did not pass, several bills attempting to define cryptocurrency in law and clarify how it is regulated. In addition, the General Assembly passed legislation related to security freezes on credit reports of minors.

During the 2017 legislative session, the General Assembly considered measures related to public benefit corporations, trusts, and financial regulators.
